Hello and welcome to The Stay at Home Experiment.

Last year I left full time work in pursuit of a more relaxed schedule, part time work, and more time to dedicate to the people I care about. The question: Is this a possible lifestyle in a major metropolitan area? We’re working on finding the answer, and in the mean time, enjoying finding a lot of ways to save some money. I research DIY projects, recipes, money saving strategies, and more, then attempt them. Then, I’ll tell you all about how the experiment goes when a Non-Expert (me) makes the attempt. 

Success, failure, and a lot of fun follow.

All pictures are my original photos, and I’ll tell you if they aren’t. I do everything on a low budget, and I’ll break down for you how much a project costs as best I can. I’ll even tell you how much experience I have and where things went well or terribly, hilariously wrong. Failure is just a learning opportunity around here!

I'm Annice, the Non-Expert in charge, I live with my husband, Mike, and Toy Poodle, Eddie, both of whom make occasional appearances as Helpers or Obstacles in experiments.
